PLM setup

  • Each LPAR to be managed through PLM must be configured using the "plmsetup" command
  • Required parameters for the "plmsetup" command are:
  • Fully qualified host name of client LPAR
  • PLM user name, usually "root"
  • The "plmsetup" command requires "rsh" access to the client LPAR
  • "rsh" can be turned off after the initial setup
  • Test the PLM setup using the following command:
  • CT_CONTACT=<fullyQualifiedHostName> lsrsrc IBM.LPAR
  • If the above command returns information, the setup is correct

  • For assistance with designing, implementing, and supporting, your automated CPU and Memory allocation and deallocation using Partition Load Manager (PLM), please contact Mt Xia.
