The purpose of this program is to provide the shell programmer or
system administrator with an automated mechanism for uploading
documentation and content to a MediaWiki server. This shell script can
be run from any system in an organization to automatically upload
information to a centralized wiki documentation server.
Features:
- Provides dynamic ability to upload content to any MediaWiki server anywhere in the world.
- Dynamic page naming based on file names containing upload content.
- Multiple Wiki Categories can be assigned to pages as the content is uploaded.
- Any wiki user can utilize this script to upload content, does not have to be an Administrator.
- Bulk uploading of content from any text based file.
- Wiki Page titles automatically generated from filenames during bulk uploads.
- Wiki Page titles can be specified by user for single file uploads.
AIX: Download the current release of
Korn Shell 93 if you want to run
this script under the IBM AIX operating system. Even on the latest Versions
of AIX (5.3 and 6.1), the Korn Shell 93 instance is about 7 years old and
is full of bugs. When you download the current release of Korn Shell 93,
copy it to your system as "/usr/bin/ksh93.att" and give it "r-xr-xr-x" (555)
permissions.
