EXPERIENCE: 7/2007 - Present TriParadigm, LLC Dallas, TX
  Principal Engineer
TriParadigm is a partnership of high tech companies specializing in high availability, disaster recovery, business continuity and virtualization. This company was formed to provide an international platform on which to market an automated build and deployment appliance for high availability and disaster recovery environments. I am the principal engineer in the development of this appliance product called "vLPAR" and it is the culmination of several decades of work and experience with large AIX and Linux (SUSe and Redhat) data center operators. This appliance automatically builds, deploys, configures and provisions entire multi-system, multi-frame, multi-datacenter environments for high availability and disaster recovery. Automation is achieved through the advanced usage of IBM Power5 virtualization (VIO) servers, AIX tools such as NIM, and HMC, and Linux tools such as YAST (SUSe) . These automation capabilities are the resulting implementation of a business continuity methodology developed over many years of experience in a wide variety of industries with very large clients such as IBM, Capgemini, Wal-Mart, Fleming (Nations largest Grocery wholesaler at the time), Liberty Mutual Insurance, HCA Healthcare, USMC, and many others.

To achieve this focus, I create architecture designs for implementation of IBM's Advanced POWER Virtualization providing Logical Partitioning (LPAR), Dynamic LPAR (DLPAR), Automated DLPAR using Partition Load Manager (PLM), Micropartitioning, and Virtual I/O (VIO) enabling on-demand computing and server consolidation.
